A French judge extended the detention of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov on Monday, Aug. 26, sparking international debate over platform regulation, free speech and national security. French prosecutors confirmed Durov’s custody has been extended by up to 48 hours, pushing his detention to a maximum of 96 hours.
