The profile has faced criticism from both left- and right-leaning news outlets for different reasons. Meanwhile, criticism from right-leaning outlets focuses more on the accompanying photos, particularly the timing of the photoshoot.

Fox News reported that the magazine photographed Harris for the profile on Monday as Hurricane Milton bore down on Florida.
Vogue endorsed Vice President Harris for president back in July, just two days after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.
