Israeli soldiers in the West Bank are accused of pushing three lifeless bodies from rooftops during a raid in the occupied West Bank Thursday, Sept. 19, The Associated Press reports. The AP said one of its journalists in the town of Qabatiya witnessed three Israeli soldiers push the bodies off roofs of multistory buildings.
Bystanders caught the incident on video. Footage shows three Israeli soldiers on a rooftop push a body over the edge, where it gets caught in wires before one soldier frees it, and it falls.
The soldiers then swing a second body over the side and kick a third one off the roof.
A representative for the Israeli Defense Forces said the Israeli military is investigating the soldiers alleged to be involved.
Israeli fire has killed more than 700 Palestinians in the West Bank since Hamas’ Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Israel contends the raids are necessary to target Iranian-backed terror groups and militants, saying Palestinian militants have attacked Israelis at checkpoints and within Israel.
