Former President Donald Trump’s indictment is controlling the mainstream news cycle, and it’s leaving other major stories out of focus. While all eyes are on the former president, the sitting president is facing serious allegations of bribery.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has been heading an investigation into a $5 million bribe allegedly paid to President Joe Biden and another $5 million bribe allegedly paid to his son, Hunter Biden.
According to a redacted FBI document Grassley received during the week of June 4, the bribe money came from Burisma Holdings, a major oil company in Ukraine that wanted the Bidens to help the company gain U.S. drilling rights in return.
Grassley says a Ukrainian businessman in the middle of the bribery scheme kept 15 audio recordings of Hunter and two audio recordings of then-Vice President Biden as an “insurance policy” to the deal.
Grassley is asking the FBI to hand over an unredacted version of the FD-1023 document.
This is something Straight Arrow News has been covering from the beginning, but it’s being buried by the news cycle. The weight of its coverage in the media landscape is heavily scaled.
Out of 36 news sources reporting on the alleged phone call recordings between Burisma executives and the Bidens, only one media outlet from the left is reporting the story. There is a clear bias in this story’s distribution. CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS are among the outlets not covering the story.
