FBI Director Christopher Wray plans to resign on or before Inauguration Day, amid President-elect Donald Trump’s intention to replace him with Kash Patel. Wray’s decision comes after Sen. Charles Grassley expressed no confidence in his leadership, citing allegations of politically biased investigations and whistleblower reports of abuse of power. Deputy Director Paul Abbate will take over as acting director.
