The owner of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld reached an agreement with the U.S. Justice Department after a lawsuit alleging discrimination against an Arab American group when a conference was canceled. The Justice Department’s complaint stated that the cancellation was based on national origin and there were no threats or risks related to the summit.

Under the agreement, the hotel must issue a welcoming statement to the Arab America Foundation and adopt an anti-discrimination policy.

The agreement also requires the hotel to contact at least five Arab or Arab American groups to inform them that the hotel is open to all, pending federal judge approval.
