President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign rhetoric has shifted from a quick end to Russia’s war in Ukraine, lowering prices and using tariffs to better the U.S. economy, now saying that these promises may be more difficult to deliver than he originally thought. Trump shared his thoughts in a recent “Meet the Press” interview.
Trump recently stated that he thought solving some of the issues in the Middle East would be simpler than ending the war in Ukraine, and also stated that grocery prices are hard to bring down once they’ve gone up. He also said in the recent interview that he “can’t guarantee” that his proposed tariffs would not leader to higher prices in stores.
