President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to release classified documents on the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. during a rally Sunday, Jan. 19. Trump did not specify which documents would be released and previously faced pressure from the CIA and FBI regarding similar releases.

Polls indicated that many Americans believe John F. Kennedy’s assassination involved a wider conspiracy, despite official conclusions attributing it to Lee Harvey Oswald.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has expressed beliefs that the CIA was involved in his uncle’s assassination, which the agency denies.

During the rally, Trump indicated he would sign over 100 executive orders on his first day, aiming to repeal Biden administration policies quickly.
